Just a quick one today guys. I just wanted to show you my Pudsey nails! We had mufti day today at sixth form and I decided to paint my nails for Children in Need.

Hope you like them, and I would love to see any other Children in Need inspired nails so make sure to email them to me or send them to me on twitter, and I would love to feature them on my blog!!

Tell me what you think of my nails in the comments section. Will any of you be watching Children in Need tomorrow night? I know I will!

NOTD: Revlon Colorstay Nail Polish - Rain Forest

I know I have been absent on here for quite some time and I know I promised some hauls. I am devoting most of my time to school at the moment so I am going to be blogging less frequently and will aim for once a week. I will get around to doing hauls, but I am going to split it into categories, e.g. Makeup, clothes etc.

For now though, I have a NOTD for you. I purchased this nail polish in Arizona and couldn't wait to try it out!

Base Coat - Nails Inc 'Kensington Caviar Base Coat - £12.00 from Boots
Nail Polish - Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamel in 'Rain Forest' - £7.99 from Boots
Top Coat - Orly 'Won't Chip Top Coat' - £11.10 from Amazon

I think we can all agree that it's a beautiful colour, and a very Autumnal one at that!

Sorry for the briefness of this post (and the blurriness of the photo), but look forward to some hauls in the near future.

Nail of the Day: Pomegranate Pink!

Hey everyone. I know I have been failing ever so slightly on the blogging front but I haven't really been doing much to blog about and I haven't got many beauty products with me to review. Also, since arriving in Mexico, I haven't been feeling great. I have had a really itchy, painful rash on my chest and yesterday I was told by the doctor that I was having an allergic reaction to something. So now I am on a 5 days course of medication, am not allowed in the sun without SPF 100, and also am not allowed to eat flour, chocolate, shellfish, strawberries or nuts. Great start to the holiday!

Anyway, I am starting to feel better and when I go to Arizona on 31st so will be doing some haul posts for sure!

So, here is what's been on my nails for a few days now -

Barry M 'Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint - Pomegranate' - £3.99 from Boots

I didn't pack a base coat or top coat as I am planning on buying a new one of each when I get to Arizona.. So for now, I have slightly bumpy, bubbly nails, but hey, I don't really mind for a few days! Plus, I will be buying lots of new nail polish so I can paint my nails before I go back to the UK. I might also be picking up a few bits and bobs from America for a giveaway around Christmas time. Leave a comment on what you would be interested in getting from America - drugstore items only :)

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend, or half term if you are on it.

Thanks for reading.

Nail Of The Day: Sparkly Red

I was feeling a little festive today and wanted to reflect this on my nails. I love how these feel very Christmassy however they are also very Autumnal so I don't look like a complete fool - for example, if I had reindeers on my nails, which I am planning on doing by the way :)

Base Coat - OPI 'Matte Nail Envy' - £8.49 from Amazon
1st Red Colour - Colour Club 'Red-ical Gypsy' - £4.63 (Item + Postage) from eBay
2nd Red Colour - 17 Fast Finish Nail Polish 'Ruby Dazzle - £2.99 from Boots
Top Coat - Sally Hansen 'Insta-Dri Top Coat - £5.99 from Boots

I absolutely red wine, vampy colours for Autumn and I cannot wait to wear this for Christmas! Tell me what you think of my mani in the comments.

September Favourites 2012

I can't believe it is October already. I mean seriously, where the heck does time go?

I was planning on doing a face of the day tomorrow but I also forgot that I had a dentist appointment today for gum surgery! My mouth is still numb right now but I have a feeling this is going to swell up.

Anyway, onto my September favourites!

Left to right: La Roche-Posay 'Effaclar A.I.' - £9.19 from Boots; La Roche-Posay 'Effaclar' - £10.21 from Boots; La Roche-Posay 'Effaclar Duo' - £13.00 from Boots

I will be doing a separate review on all these products when I get back from my holiday and have used these a bit more. However, I know I love the Effaclar Duo already because the bottle in the picture is my second bottle!! An empties post will also be up fairly soon!

Clinique 'All About Eyes' - £24.00 from Boots (This is a 7ml sample from a Clinique promotion)

This is my second 7ml sample which I got from the Clinique promotions which they do fairly regularly.  I love this eye cream because I feel like it makes my dark circles fade dramatically which I love! I was considering purchasing the full size tub of this at the airport however I think I want to try out a few different eye creams before I do.

Gold Bow Earrings - Part of a multipack from Primark

I can't remember exactly how much the multipack of earrings was from Primark however I think it was about £3 for 12 pairs of earrings which is a steal in my opinion. I loved wearing these throughout the month of September and I am loving wearing them this month too. I think they are so cute and add a bit of delicacy to any outfit!

Sally Hansen 'Insta-Dri Top Coat' - £5.99 from Boots

Ok, so I never thought I would say this but I think this topcoat has knocked my Seche Vite off the top spot. I found that after a while, my seche vite got a bit gloopy and harder to use. Whereas, this topcoat is easy to work with and in my opinion it dries faster than Seche Vite, plus, it is much more affordable which is always a bonus!!

Johnson's 'Cotton Buds' - I can't find a link online

I know this is a bit of a random favourite but I have been loving these for cleaning up after a manicure. I really like the Boots Cosmetic Tip Buds however I think these have a more precise tip which is much better. I also feel like they are more sturdy than the Boots ones.

Hope you enjoyed this. I'd love it if you'd check out my Upcoming Posts post to see what I have planned for my lovely little blog :)

Upcoming posts!

Hey guys,
I just wanted to let everyone know what type of posts will be coming up and 1. see if you are interested in them, and 2. ask if you have any other requests.

Firstly, tomorrow, I will have my September favourites up!

Right, that's sorted. So I was thinking, in the next week, I am either going to do a few school related posts, such as organisation etc, or a few nail tutorials, or a mixture of the two if you'd prefer!
Which would you prefer?

Then, on the week leading up to going on holiday, I was thinking some packing posts such as what's in my hand luggage, and what's in my travel makeup bag etc.

When I am in Mexico and Arizona, I don't know whether I'll be posting every other day (not that I am now right.. Sorry!) or not but I was thinking of doing daily Instagram OOTD's so make sure to follow me on Instagram or twitter. But, I was also thinking of doing hauls whilst on holiday, if everyone would be cool with that, or would you rather me do a collective haul post after my holiday?

Wow, I wasn't expecting to write that much on this post, but yeah, I would really love everyone's feedback because I would love to know what you want to see on my blog. I will also be purchasing a few little items from America for a giveaway nearer to Christmas so get excited!!

Nail Tutorial: Braided Mani!

Ok, well.. Where do I begin. I had already published this post a few days ago.. I don't know if any of you saw it but basically, after about an hour or two, the post was nowhere to be seen..
It is very annoying because now I have to redo the entire post. Let me know if anyone else have experienced a problem like this with blogger, and tell me what you did about it.

Anyway, onto the tutorial. I did it slightly differently this time of tell me if you prefer this tutorial to previous ones, e.g. Galaxy Nail Tutorial.

1. Protect your natural nails with a base coat.

2. Follow the image below to get beautiful braided nails.

I hope the photo is easy to follow. If it isn't, I would be happy to do another tutorial, just let me know!!

Also, as a side note, you don't need to wait until each stripe is completely dry, just wait until they are tacky. That way they won't all join together.

3. Finally, protect your design and add some shine with a top coat.

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial. If you recreate it, make sure to send me a photo on twitter or by email.

Thanks for reading.

Nail Tutorial: Galaxy Design!

So, last night I painted my nails. I wanted to do something I had seen and re-pinned on pinterest. I absolutely love the look I created and hope you will try it too if you like it!

 Products used:
(C = Colour, G = Glitter)

Base Coat - OPI 'Matte Nail Envy' - £7.50 from Amazon
Colour #1 - BCBG 'Reflection'
Glitter #1 - Models Own 'Disco Mix' - £5.00 from Models Own
Colour #2 - OPI 'Skull & Glossbones' - £11.00 from Look Fantastic
Colour #3 - BCBG 'Limelight'
Colour #4 - Barry M 'Turquoise' - £2.99 from Superdrug
Colour #5 - No7 'Lucky Lilac' - £7.00 from Boots
Glitter #2 - Models Own 'Ibiza Mix' - £5.00 from Models Own
Top Coat - Orly 'Won't Chip' - £6.84 from Amazon

Here's how:

1. Apply a base coat to protect your natural nails.

2. Paint an opaque coat of a dark blue/navy polish. This will be the base colour of your galaxy!

3. Next, paint one coat of a purple or blue glitter polish with small flecks.

4. Next, sponge on white (or light grey) polish to create the focal point for your manicure. I chose to do light grey polish because I thought white would be too intense. However, looking at it now, I think I should have done white...

5. Next, to give the white (grey) more depth, sponge on light green, blue and purple polish.

6. After this, sponge on black polish to create the look of deep space.

7. Next, paint on a layer of glitter. I chose a multicoloured glitter but you can use whichever you prefer, just make sure the flecks are fairly large.

8. Finally, add a topcoat to seal in your design, help it last and give it some shine!

Hope you enjoyed this and please send me photos on twitter or by email if you recreate this design, I'd love to see them!!
