Hey guys, so recently, a company called Mallzee contacted me 1. to take part in their twitter campaign and 2. to see if I'd be interested in writing a blog post about their company.
I participated in their twitter campaign - see the tweet here
I also chose to write a blog post because I was honestly intrigued by their idea of a social online shopping website.
Mallzee is a shopping site that is dedicated to 'making shopping online social, fun, cheaper, and a whole lot better.'
According to Mallzee 'Mallzee is all about creating a new experience for shopping online. Users create their own personalized shopping mall (Mallzee) by picking their favourite brands and stores. Our fancy software then finds products matching your personal style and showcases them in your Mallzee!'
Users can then invite their friends to 'visit' their Mallzee where they can discuss product choices, rate items and also purchase items from the mall themselves with discounts negotiated by Mallzee. The awesome thing about Mallzee is that the 'owner' of the mall earns money every time someone else buys from their mall. So basically, your friends are purchasing something they love and you get a cut of the money. Tell me that's not something you could do with in your life!
Mallzee currently have over 200 brands signed up, i.e. Feel Unique, Urban Outfitters & All Saints.
The website will be launching later in the year however, people can register now for a launch invite at Mallzee.com and if you spread the word on Facebook or Twitter you will also be entered into a prize draw for £100/$155 of shopping vouchers and other goodies.
Personally, I cannot wait until the site launches as I think it's a fantastic idea. I definitely think Mallzee will add the social aspect to online shopping and it will almost be like you're shopping with friends!!
Thanks for reading.
