Review - Body Shop 'Nutriganics Drops of Youth'

Hi everyone,

Initially I was intimidated by the product as I am definitely not drawn into anti-aging products being just 18, however, after reading the description of the Body Shop's website I was excited to try it as it claims to be instantly moisturising, and helps to enhance the texture and appearance of the skin, things which I look for in any skincare product.

When the bottle arrived, the first thing I did was smell the product as I have a love - hate relationship with the smell of natural products. I was pleasantly surprised as the smell was very subtle and not overly plant-smelling.

When I used the product for the first time I was unsure about the texture as it was very watery and slippery which is something I'm not used to with my Clarins oil (which is fairly thick). However, once I applied it this made the application process infinitely easier than with my oil and I loved this.

Generally, I absoluely love the product as I feel that it did leave my skin instantly moisturised and I like the almost tight, sticky feeling it gives when it has dried for a few seconds - I feel like this makes my pores shrink and definitely helps my other skin products absorb better.

One limitation of the product is the packaging. The exterior is nice, however, the dropper is a nightmare. It barely brings up any product and I have to repeat the process twice to get enough for my face which is not very practical.

Overall I would give the product an 8/10. I am not sure whether I would purchase it again, but I won't need to for a long time as you don't use much per application, and you get a large amount in a bottle.

Haul: Boots, Superdrug, ELF

 Hey guys,

I have a haul for you today. It's a long post, so brace yourselves - Hope you enjoy :)

 Superdrug:

I got these on a deal. They were 99p each which is awesome!! (This deal ended) I absolutely love the shine absorbing sheets and have repurchased them a few times, so I wanted to try out some other products.

Maybelline 'The Rocket' Mascara - was £5.99, now £7.99

I can't wait to try out this mascara. It has been all over youtube and numerous beauty blogs. I will let you know what I think of this mascara and whether it lives up to the hype.

Taylor Swift 'Wonderstruck' Perfume - £22.00 for 100ml (now on a deal for £19.00)

I absolutely loved this fragrance from the first time I smelt it in Arizona. I couldn't resist buying this when I saw how much it was. It was on a deal, which it still is (but it's now cheaper!!) and the 50ml was more expensive than the 100ml, crazy I know... Anyway, you should check this out if you get a chance; it is more of a Summery scent but I love it!

I tried this last night and I love the buttery texture, but I don't love having to stick my finger in the pot. It smells quite artificial too, but it did make my lips feel amazing so that's a bonus!!

This is for after PE at school - always good to have (plus, I really like the smell of this, it's very fresh and clean smelling).

Boots:

This is also something I have wanted to try since I first saw them on Fleur De Force's blog. This shade is very bright, so it's perfect for Spring / Summer!!

I really needed a new waterproof mascara and this had pretty good reviews, and wasn't too pricey, so I picked it up.

This is the 3rd time I have repurchased this moisturiser. I love it, that's all I'm going to say!! I will do a review on this if anyone would like one?

Effaclar - Foaming Gel Cleanser - Bought on 2 for £15 deal (£10.21 when bought alone)

Love this stuff!! I'm not entirely out of my last tube, but I decided I wanted to keep one in the shower.. This cleanser lasts so long so it's amazing value for money!!

Effaclar - A.I. Targeted Breakout Corrector - Bought on 2 for £15 deal (£9.19 when bought alone)

This is also a repurchase. La Roche-Posay products have done wonders for my skin. I definitely recommend the brand!

L'oréal - EverPure Shampoo and Conditioner - £5.99 each (3 for 2)

I needed some new shampoo and conditioner and really wanted to try a non sulfate shampoo, so I picked up these. I don't love the smell but I haven't used these yet so I don't know how they perform on my hair..

I don't have anything to say about this yet... If it's mind-blowing I'll let you know!

ELF (Eyes Lips Face):

This is fairly thick but it seems to be a great texture.

I bought these thinking there were only two. It was a pleasant surprise when I found out there were four in the pack. I think this is great value and they seem like they're good quality.

Miscellaneous (i.e. from Mum)

My Mum went shopping the other day and bought my sister and I this mascara in a duo pack. I can't wait to try this.

My mum bought both my sister and I a Wildfox sparkle heart jumper for Valentine's Day. I was so surprised, and I am absolutely in love with my jumper. It is so adorable, and so soft!!!! I am a very lucky girl. Thanks mum!!

Wow, that was a long one!! Hope you all enjoyed this haul.

Makeup Collection - February 2013

Hey guys.

As promised a while ago, here is my makeup collection.

All my makeup (apart from my everyday makeup) is stored in the IKEA Alex 9 Drawer unit which I spoke about here. I am in love with this unit as I feel like it will last a long time due to its sturdiness. I also feel like it is a beautiful piece of furniture and is perfect for what I'm using it for.

As you can see, on top of my Alex unit, I store my perfumes, which I have shown in a post before (Perfume collection). I also have my bunny lamp (shown here) and a jar of sweets for decoration (and eating of course!!)

Drawer #1 - Base (face) products:

In this drawer I keep my foundations / BB creams which I am not currently using at the back.

In the two middle compartments I have my bronzers and blushes.

At the front I keep any face powders and concealers.

To the side, I have my Revlon whipped foundation which I love and some perfume.

 Drawer #2 - Lip products:

This has to be one of my favourite drawers. As you can probably tell, I am a bit obsessed with lip products!!

In the back I have an assortment of lip balms. Admittedly, they don't get much use at the moment as I am obsessed with my EOS lipbalms...

In the middle sections, on the right I have all my lip glosses, and on the left I have a red lipliner and lip stains.

In the bottom compartment, I have all my lipsticks and maybelline baby lips (which are awesome!)

Then, at the side, I have my two MAC tendertones, lush lip scrubs, a korres lip butter and two of my EOS lipbalms (I have another by my bed and one in my bag).

Drawer #3 - Eyes (Mascara, eyebrows, lashes, eyeliner)

At the back, I have some sample mascaras which are great for travelling and my HD Brow Palette.

In the two middle compartments, on the right I have 2 waterproof mascaras, my too faced pinpoint mascara which I use for my lower lashes, and a MAC eyelash primer. On the left I have all my regular, non-waterproof mascaras.

In the bottom compartment I have my two Bobbi Brown gel liners, pencil liners, liquid liners and a sharpener.

At the side I have two pairs of lashes.

Drawer #4 - Eyes (Primers, eyeshadow)

At the back of this drawer I keep miscellaneous eyeshadow and some eye primers.

In the middle sections I have all my smaller eyeshadow palettes.

In the front compartment I have my loose eyeshadows, the MAC ones are yet to be depotted.

Finally, at the side of this drawer I have all my MAC paintpots which you can see swatched in this post.

Drawer #5 - Large eyeshadow palettes

In this drawer I keep all my larger eyeshadow palettes.

I have my MAC palette, Stila Christmas 2011 palette, MUA 'Immaculate Collection' Palette, Original Naked palette, Too Faced 'Pixie Pin-Ups' Palette, another Too Faced palette and a profusion palette.

In the remaining drawers of my Alex unit I have hair tools, hair accessories, cotton rounds etc etc... It is not very organised so I didn't show it.. Also it's not makeup!!

Hope you enjoyed this post, if you have any comments or questions leave them below :)

Iconemesis Phone Case Review

Hey guys.

I know I haven't posted since before christmas but I have been crazy busy with exams - which finished on Monday :)

Anyway, I am going to try and get back into a regular posting schedule but it will probably only be once a week as I need to focus on school this year.

Today I have a mini haul / review for you.

I recently purchased the Fifi Lapin 'Cupcake' case from Iconemesis.

Right, can we just admire the beauty of this case? How fricking adorable can a phone case get -- A bunny and a pink cupcake with a cherry on top :)

The colouring is a bit off in the photo - it is a beautiful pale lilac in real life.

I love switching my phone cases regularly to match the season or just how I feel at the time..

Another thing I love about this phone case is that the design carries on around the sides. I really don't like it when a phone case is pretty on the back and the sides are just blank..

Iconemesis is an online shop which makes phone cases to fit the iPhone 3 and 4. They aim to 'give
you the option of expressing your individuality through your case.'

They definitely fulfil this aim as they have around 40 different designs which cater to everyone's style.

Personally, I don't think this is the last time I'll be purchasing cases from them. They are really good quality and I feel like the case is really protecting my phone, unlike some cases I've had before..

If and when I purchase more cases, I absolutely love this Cats caseBushy Baby case and the Fifi Lapin Teacup case.

iPhone 3 cases are £19.99 and iPhone 4 cases are £24.99.

The lovely people from iconemesis have offered my readers 25% off all cases on their website until the 7th February at 11.59pm using the discount code:

PFM25
